Product RangeHirst Magnetic Instruments Ltd. manufacture Integrating Fluxmeters that measure the change in magnetic flux. This is only achieved where there is a dynamic component to the measurement process i.e. movement of magnetic material past a search coil linked to the fluxmeter. Integrating Fluxmeters take the output of the search coil and perform integration on the signal. This will then give a relative flux reading. By taking a search coil with known turns area it is possible to convert this relative flux value into an absolute magnetic flux measurement and then magnetic flux density in Tesla, automatically. Integrating Fluxmeters are often used for quality control checking in magnetising processes where search coils are embedded in the magnetising fixture for providing feedback from a magnet calibration system. They can also be used as stand alone test instruments. Hirst Magnetic Instruments Ltd. manufactures two types of Integrating Fluxmeter, the IFM03 Fluxmeter and IFM02 Fluxmeter ![]() Next > Principle of Fluxmeters < Previous Intoduction ![]() |
